Domestic violence in Indiana rose by 181 percent during the pandemic. Advocates say on any given day, 500 families in Central Indiana are homeless because of domestic violence.

Coburn Place received a grant from the Day 1 Families Fund, which was created by Amazon Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos.

The Center for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention - or CHIP - estimates 3000 people became homeless last year in Marion County because of domestic violence.
