A new initiative responds to a recent increase in domestic violence and is named after an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer who was killed earlier this year.

The money will benefit two existing initiatives run by the city and its nonprofit partners at the Julian Shelter and the Domestic Violence Network.
