Less than a week before a vote that could determine the fate of a controversial data center campus in southeast Indianapolis, the local school district has come out in support of Google's plan.

Shouts of “Sellouts!” and loud boos erupted inside the City-County Building on Wednesday after Indianapolis development officials voted 8-1 to advance Google’s plan for a massive data center in Franklin Township.

The Franklin Township candidates agree budgetary issues and increasing community support are areas of focus in the coming years.

More than 30 seats across Marion County school boards are on the ballot in the Nov. 5 general election.
