The long-awaited groundbreaking for the new Frederick Douglass Park family center was held this week in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood.

Frederick Douglass Park is undergoing improvements as many in the community work to preserve history and make sure those who led the charge for park revitalization are not shut out.
