There's a growing understanding that adverse childhood experiences can explain behaviors like short attention spans or anger outbursts.

Representatives from Ivy Tech and several other schools, including Indiana Wesleyan University and Grace College, will be at the Sept. 28 event at Ivy Tech's Illinois Fall Creek Center in Indianapolis.

Eight Indiana schools are among 82 private, four-year colleges and universities nationwide that will share nearly $45 million in grants from the Lilly Endowment Inc. develop youth theology institutes.
