Election Day will look a lot different in Marion County this year. There are concerns about the record number of mail-in ballots, a lack of resources and limited in person voting locations.

Marion County Clerk Myla Eldridge sent a letter Thursday to state officials asking them to extend the deadline that requires mail-in ballots arrive at county election offices by noon Tuesday while polling sites remain open.

This was the first time in 10 years that Marion County used satellite voting sites. Nearly 8,000 people came out to vote Sunday alone -- the largest single day total for in-person early voting ever in Marion County.
