Old Southside

Revitalization projects on Indianapolis’ Old Southside are bringing life back into the historic neighborhood.

An Indianapolis neighborhood targeted for redevelopment will now benefit from a new infrastructure project.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett, the Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD), and Indy Parks joined Old Southside neighborhood leaders on Tuesday to highlight upgrades made to Kelly Park.

The program's stated goal is to bring affordable housing, beautification and public amenities to an area while ensuring long-time residents benefit from the change.
