An IMPD officer shot a driver after another officer was struck by a vehicle in the 1500 block of North Meridian on Thursday.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police action shooting results in another person killed. The shooting happened on the east side after police tried to stop a vehicle being driven by 30-year-old Demarqus Whitley. Whitley had an active warrant on felony firearm charges including guns stolen from vehicles in the Broad Ripple area.
