Public Advocates in Community Re-Entry

Securing a job after incarceration can be a barrier for some people re-entering society. Two groups in Indiana came together to help give justice-involved Hoosiers a second chance at employment.

Indiana advocates said formerly incarcerated people need mental health and rehabilitation services to help them transition back into society. One group in Marion County is calling on lawmakers and other advocacy groups across the state to increase these resources.

PACE provides services including case management, recovery support and workforce development. The program recently moved their services to a larger facility at 13th and Meridian.
