The Purdue Polytechnic High School board of directors will close the charter network’s South Bend location amid financial challenges while it focuses on the long-term stability of its two remaining Indianapolis campuses.

After months of controversy, an all-girls charter school is one step closer to opening in Washington Township.

The opening of a third Purdue Polytechnic High School in Indianapolis is being delayed again — now until 2025. It is one of three schools that Education One, the charter school authorizing arm of Trine University in Angola, approved to open in Indianapolis in the next few years.

The Girls in STEM Academy would be an all-girls charter school. It's a collaborative effort between Paramount Schools of Excellence, Purdue Polytechnic and Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
