The American Revolution: A Conversation with Filmmaker Sarah Botstein
Join us on Monday, September 14 from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the WFYI Studio for a luncheon with Sarah Botstein, producer and co-director of PBS's The American Revolution, for an inside look at the making of this epic documentary.
Sarah has collaborated with Ken Burns and Florentine Films for nearly 30 years, producing some of the most acclaimed documentaries on PBS, including The Vietnam War, Hemingway, Jazz, and College Behind Bars.
Botstein works closely with PBS LearningMedia and WETA-TV to develop educational materials for programming as part of the Ken Burns Classroom, and she was an original contributor to UNUM, a digital platform providing historical context for contemporary issues.
Sarah will share behind-the-scenes stories of how they brought the extraordinary history of our nation's founding to the screen. Discover the ins and outs of The American Revolution’s creation from Sarah’s insider perspective! There will be plenty of time for questions.
