WFYI Public Media announced the slate of new officers for 2026.
The 2026 Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media Board of Directors Executive Committee includes two officers shifting into new roles. The 26-member volunteer board includes a wide range of community leaders who provide guidance and work to promote a better understanding of the mission of WFYI. “I’m honored to serve as board chair at such a pivotal moment for public media. Even as we navigate real challenges and a shifting landscape for funding, WFYI’s commitment to trust, transparency, and deep community partnership has never been stronger,” said incoming Board Chair Terry Magid. “I’m eager to work alongside our board to secure the resources and spark the innovations that will keep trusted journalism and essential storytelling thriving across Central Indiana.”
The 2026 Board of Directors officers include:
- Chair: Terry Magid, Cummins, Inc.
- Vice Chair: Fernanda Beraldi, Aurorium
- Immediate Past Chair: Neelay Bhatt, Next Practice Partners LLC
- Treasurer: Sue Back, Retired, RJ Pile LLC
- Secretary: Katie Culp, KSM Location Advisors
- President: Greg Petrowich, WFYI Public Media
“WFYI is entering 2026 with a board whose experience, diversity and commitment position us to thrive as we enter the year without state and federal funding support,” said WFYI President and CEO Greg Petrowich. “With this leadership team, we’ll stay true to our mission while expanding our impact across Central Indiana, bringing people the information and context they need, and the stories that connect us.”
