WFYI Names Jill Sheridan as the New Host of Indiana Week in Review

WFYI Public Media announced today that Jill Sheridan will be the new host of Indiana Week in Review.

Sheridan is a managing editor at WFYI with nearly 20 years working in the Indianapolis media landscape. Her broad career includes roles as a city government reporter for WFYI, a state health policy correspondent for Indiana Public Broadcasting and a news anchor at several outlets.

"The opportunity to host a long-running program like Indiana Week in Review is truly exciting,” Sheridan said. “I hope to include a variety of viewpoints and engage in important discussions about issues affecting Hoosiers."

Sheridan’s reporting has won numerous awards, covering topics including housing, health access, city policy and neighborhood investment. Her background as a reporter and producer drives her passion for storytelling.

“Jill brings a wealth of knowledge and nearly two decades of reporting experience to Indiana Week in Review,” said Erin Earnest, chief content officer at WFYI Public Media. “Her proven leadership and deep understanding of Indiana’s issues will uphold the program’s thoughtful, balanced analysis while continuing to connect our community with conversations about topics that impact people across the state.”

Friday, Nov. 7 will be Sheridan’s first episode as the new host of Indiana Week in Review, following a period with Jon Schwantes as the interim host.

Indiana Week in Review began in 1988, the program’s format invites Hoosier Democrats, Republicans and insiders to talk candidly about issues, the Indiana Statehouse and everything in between.
