A digital donation will help local veterans connect to valuable resources. The new computer lab is opening at the Donald W. Moreau Sr. Veterans House in Indianapolis on Tuesday.
Computers, printers and software will now be available for the 39 veterans to conduct job searches, apply for positions, take online classes and improve their computer skills.
Jessica Norris, of GTECH Indiana, says the equipment is needed as the company works to narrow the digital divide.
"It's incredible the amount of skills that you can only get from being online," says Norris, "even just filling out your basic resume."
This is the second such lab to open in central Indiana as part of a charitable partnership program from GTECH and benefiting the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation.
More than 500 veterans have been able to take advantage of the first lab helping them ease back into life in the Hoosier state.
