Are You Registered To Vote?

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The League of Women Voters of Indiana is urging Indiana residents to make sure their voter registration is up-to-date in time for the fall elections.

The league said it is hoping to improve on voter turnout for the primary, when Indiana's May 6 elections drew only 13 percent of registered voters to the polls. It is asking Indiana residents who aren't registered to vote to do so before Oct. 6 so they will be eligible to vote on Nov. 4.

Secretary of State Connie Lawson announced earlier this month that about 727,000 residents will receive a second round of voter registration postcards as part of state officials' ongoing push to remove potentially inaccurate voter registrations from the rolls.
