Will Power earned his 30th career victory Saturday with a dominating performance in the IndyCar Grand Prix.
The 36-year-old Australian was the driver to beat from the start of race weekend. He was the quickest in each practice session, and set a track record while qualifying for the pole position. And during the race, Power led 61of the 85 laps.
The strong showing comes after a frustrating start to the 2017 season for Power and his crew.
"It feels really good to finally have a good day," Power said. "Everyone on this team has been working really hard. We should have had a couple of wins by now."
Scott Dixon finished 5.28 seconds behind Power to claim second place. Ryan Hunter-Reay finished in the third spot.
