Hoosiers Can Fish For Free Saturday

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says Hoosier adults can fish for free this weekend.

Indiana residents who are age 18 and older will be allowed to fish public waters without a fishing license or a trout stamp on Saturday, May 20. Additional free fishing days are scheduled for June 3-4.

The DNR will also host several Family Learn to Fish Workshops around the state, including one at Krannert Park in Indianapolis from 9 a.m. to noon. Attendees, 6 years and older, will learn basic fishing skills so they can fish on their own. Equipment and bait will be provided. The workshops are free but registration is required.
