Contour Airlines Will Finally Launch Operations Out Of Indy

Tennessee-based Contour Airlines will resume its plan to launch operations out of Indianapolis this fall with three daily nonstop flights to currently underserved “drive market” destinations.

The airline announced plans to set up operations in Indianapolis in February 2020, but they were put on hold after pandemic restrictions hit the travel and hospitality industries.

“Connectivity is essential for economic growth and for positioning Indiana at the forefront of a global economy,” said Jim Staton, senior vice president and chief business development officer for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “The pandemic reminded all of us how critical connectivity is and we’re thrilled to join Contour to celebrate three new nonstop flights.”

Contour will begin flights to Nashville, Pittsburgh and Milwaukee in October.
