As COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to climb Marion County officials won’t rule out new restrictions.
Indianapolis lifted all capacity limits and mask mandates earlier this summer when the county’s cumulative positivity rate dropped below 5 percent. Today it’s more than 11 percent.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said if residents don’t want restrictions they need to be part of the solution.
"That control is in their hands entirely, not in mine," Hogsett said. "Just get a vaccination."
A majority of people being hospitalized are not vaccinated. Nearly 1,900 people in Marion County have died from COVID-19.
