A juvenile was shot and killed in the city’s northwest side Saturday, police say.
Officers responded to the 3100 block of Bonham Drive just before 1 a.m. on reports of a person shot, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. They found a juvenile male outside with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information has been released at this time, including the age of the juvenile.

Indianapolis just ended another record-breaking year of homicides, with more than 270 people killed in 2021. Saturday’s incident marked the city’s eighth homicide in 2022.
