A northside apartment complex that has experienced years of neglect and disrepair has found a new owner.

Residents at Lakeside Pointe at Nora have filed hundreds of complaints with landlords who have refused to fix a myriad of problems including many health violations.

In January, the city of Indianapolis threatened legal actions if Aloft LLC and Fox Lake AHF did not address issues. Instead new buyers were found for the property, an out of state nonprofit development company.

In a written statement Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said support for the community will continue. “Our top priority continues to be the safety and well-being of the property’s residents,” he said.

The city says it will work with new management to address outstanding enforcement actions.
