Doug Jaggers/WFYI

A teenage boy was shot early Thursday on Indianapolis’ far west side.

The shooting occurred shortly after midnight, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. The boy was inside an apartment on West 10th Street. Police believe the shots came from outside the building.

The boy was awake and breathing when police arrived and was taken to Riley Children’s Hospital. IMPD said they were unable to confirm the age of the teenager or where he was shot.
