Meet the WFYI leadership team helping to bring trusted journalism, inspiring stories and lifelong learning to the Central Indiana community and beyond.
Greg Petrowich is the President and CEO of WFYI Public Media in Indianapolis. WFYI is committed to trusted journalism, inspiring stories and lifelong learning with a vision of a more informed, inspired, and inclusive Indiana.
Previously Petrowich served ten years as the Executive Director of WSIU Public Broadcasting at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Illinois. There he extended the public broadcasting reach of WSIU through a merger that now involves five full-power TV licenses serving 5-million people throughout much of Central and Southern Illinois, as well as portions of five surrounding states. For seven years prior, Petrowich led KUAC FM and TV in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he also served as the President of the Alaska Public Broadcasting Service. He started his career with ten years at KRCU in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where he served first as Operations Director and later as General Manager, expanding public radio reach throughout the bootheel of Southeast Missouri.
Between 2009 and 2015, Petrowich was elected to two terms on the Board of Directors for National Public Radio. During that time, he served on multiple committees including Development, Distribution and Interconnection, Investment, New Building, and Membership and Governance, which he chaired for four years.
During his time in the public media system, Greg has helped lead signal expansion efforts, participated in several collaborative service initiatives, and more recently negotiated two license merger/acquisition projects for both television and radio in Illinois and Indiana. Petrowich has been a member of nearly all the public broadcasting affinity groups, served as chair of the Joint Licensee Association and as a member of the Affinity Group Coalition. He has served on CPB panels for CSG Reviews, COVID-19 Relief Funds and Operational Efficiency. He is currently a member of the PBS Board of Directors and served previously on the NPR Board of Directors.
Outside of work, Greg is novice urban cyclist, a poor performer on ukulele and an avid Cub fan. He lives in the Old Northside Neighborhood and tries to take seriously the phrase “Indy Like a Local.”
Sean Anker is the Chief Technology Officer at WFYI Public Media. Sean oversees technology efforts including broadcast engineering, cybersecurity, IT, and digital distribution. With over 20 years of leadership experience, Sean has expertise with engineering, IT, media production, and news teams. Previously, he served as Director of News Technology and Director of Engineering at WFXT in Boston. Before his time in Boston, Sean worked in New Mexico for 15 years, leading stations through analog-to-digital transitions and redesigning statewide broadcast systems. He returned to Indianapolis in mid-2023 to take on the newly created CTO role at WFYI.
Erin Earnest (she/her) is the Chief Content Officer at WFYI Public Media, where her passion for media and education merge. Erin has made significant contributions to the fields of media, journalism, and production. Her strong background in content production and teaching has left an impact on multiple generations of students and media professionals.
Erin demonstrated her commitment to mentoring through her past roles as Station Manager and TV Broadcasting Instructor for a local public high school and as an educator at Butler University. She instilled confidence in her students to thrive in their creative and journalistic endeavors.
Erin has directed cross-platform promotions for six of the highest grossing music tours during her tenure at Live Nation. She also executed the broadcast and streaming distribution of Beyoncé's Super Bowl XLIX commercial. Erin's connection to WFYI dates back to her time as a video production intern, and she later returned to the station as a freelance producer and editor, earning two Emmy nominations for her work. As Chief Content Officer, she continues to shape WFYI's future by leading local, statewide, and national initiatives to produce outstanding content.
Erin loves public media and is dedicated to providing accessible, trusted content to all. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys music, cooking, painting, and exploring national parks. Erin has a diverse educational background including a Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Butler University and a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Video Studies and Creative Writing from Purdue University.
Connie Fraley Campbell serves as Chief Financial Officer for WFYI Public Media. In this role, Connie provides leadership and direction of all strategic financial operations. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Connie joined WFYI in 2016 with more than 30 years of experience in management, finance and accounting functions as well as more than a decade of legal and operational experience within non-profit and for-profit institutions. She has served as a practicing attorney and a practicing CPA.
Her career experience has included success at Bosma Enterprises and most recently at the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.
Connie received her JD from the University of Kentucky College of Law and her BS in Accounting with High Distinction also from the University of Kentucky. She and her husband live in Indianapolis.
Stacey Stuteville is the Chief Development and Marketing Officer at WFYI Public Media, where she leads individual giving, corporate and philanthropic support, and marketing strategies.
Stacey is an experienced public media leader with a demonstrated track record of creating and implementing strategic priorities, working collaboratively across the organization and delivering revenue results. Connecting with donors and supporters to share how WFYI advances an informed, inspired, and inclusive Indiana is one of their favorite aspects of the role.
Stacey is deeply committed to WFYI’s mission of trusted journalism, inspiring stories, and lifelong learning, and has supported national public media initiatives by participating in and leading cohorts and advisory groups focused on sponsorship.
Outside of work, Stacey volunteers with Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build as a team leader, enjoys time with family and friends, and supporting her kids and their interests in music, theater, and sports. Originally from southeastern Indiana, Stacey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing & Communications from Butler University.
