Indianapolis based Women Like Us Foundation celebrates its seventh year of bringing topics of importance to women to the forefront. Their latest effort is the Woman of Focus program that highlights an Indianapolis based woman who is making a difference in the community. Body of Guatemalan woman killed when she went to clean the wrong Indiana house is returned home
The body of Maria Florinda Rios Perez de Velasquez, a Guatemalan woman killed in Indiana, has been returned to her native country. Ríos Perez, a mother of four, was shot on Nov. 5 while mistakenly trying to clean the wrong house in Whitestown.
