The Circle City Indy Pride Festival is one of the largest events of its kind in the nation, and the 2016 version starts on June 4.
It’s been a news worthy year for the Indiana LGBT community, and festival organizer H.R. Jung says this year’s celebration will reinforce the message that “all are welcome.”
“It was wonderful to see the number of allies that came out and supported the LGBT community here in Indiana and nationwide, so its one of those things we want to try and focus on,” Jung said.
New this year is an Interfaith Service, which organizers feel is an important step in continuing to create conversations among people of different beliefs and opinions. The festival runs June 4-11 at different venues in downtown Indianapolis.
