SAVI Data & Drafts: Bike Use Trends in Marion County
SAVI Data & Drafts: Bike Use Trends in Marion County
Join us at the Indianapolis Public Library – Central Library for a free, in-person Data & Drafts event examining trends shaping bicycling across Marion County.
With more than 120 miles of greenways and trails, Marion County offers extensive opportunities for bicycling. Yet ridership has declined with fewer documented bicycle trips since 2019 while vehicle-bicyclist crashes have increased since the pandemic. This presentation examines bicycle use, safety incidents and infrastructure access to better understand who is riding, where safety concerns exist and where gaps and opportunities remain in the county's biking network.
What to Expect
- A focused, accessible data presentation
- Time to ask questions and explore the findings
- Opportunities to connect with others working on or interested in these issues
Data & Drafts is designed to be conversational and engaging, with space to dig into what the data actually means in practice. Data & Drafts is happy hour with data, so this event is for ages 21+
This event is presented in partnership with the Indianapolis Public Library, WFYI Public Media and SAVI. Beer is generously provided by Bier Brewery.
