He Cares Incorporated is one of several local organizations to receive funds from CICF and The Indianapolis Foundation in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The local nonprofit pays young black men to do yard work for senior citizens.

From our Arts and Culture Desk, He Cares President Lennerd McKinney spoke with WFYI’s Jill Ditmire about how that service can benefit all involved. He says the money will allow him to include more youth in the summer program and expand its services to elderly in need.
