Indiana legislators inched towards a possible court fight with Gov. Eric Holcomb Thursday by voting to override his veto and give themselves more authority to intervene during governor-declared emergencies.
The study looked at county COVID-19 cases, population, and then the percentage of kids attending school in-person or remotely in each county.
The Indiana Department of Health added 1,408 COVID-19 cases to the state's total Thursday, raising it to 703,345. The cases were confirmed between March 2 and April 14. It also added seven confirmed COVID-19 deaths, raising the state's total to 12,789. The deaths occurred between Dec. 25 and April 13.
