The local TSA union said some members are leaving for other work over the latest federal shutdown. Indianapolis Airport Officials said travelers won’t experience delays flying out of IND.

The Indianapolis Airport Authority announced this week that starting next May, it will offer nonstop service between Indianapolis and Dublin, Ireland.

It’s the third time in four years that the Indianapolis airport has earned the recognition in the J.D. Power North America Airport Satisfaction Survey, and the fifth time overall.

Employers across Indianapolis struggle to meet hiring needs, even if they offer higher wages because not enough workers have the credentials needed to land these good jobs.

Indianapolis International Airport will get more than $56 million to be used for airfield improvements, including the initial construction phase to strengthen and enhance capacity on a runway and the initial construction and electrical phase of a taxiway.

The updates included resurfacing and extending Taxiway A to match the overall length of the runway, installing LED lighting and repainting runway markers.

Catchings is the 11th member of the board, a new seat created by lawmakers in a bill passed during the 2018 legislative session.

It's the fourth consecutive year the airport has been rated the nation's best by the magazine's readers.

The recognition from J.D. Power is the latest in a list of honors and awards travelers have bestowed on the Indianapolis International Airport this year.

The Airport Authority is delaying a vote on the proposed medical complex until it can "further process community feedback and have additional conversations."
