Bundled in tan prison garb and coats emblazoned with “ICE,” dozens of immigrant detainees at Miami Correctional Facility played cards and checkers in a common room outside their cells.

About 100 people gathered Monday to support immigration detainees at the state prison near Kokomo, Indiana.

Detainees of Immigration and Customs Enforcement have begun arriving at Miami Correctional Facility, located between Indianapolis and South Bend. Fifteen ICE detainees arrived at the facility on Wednesday and 25 more are expected to arrive Thursday.
