The tornadoes caused significant damage and injuries along the path through Illinois and Indiana.

All of Central Indiana is under a heat advisory that starts Saturday afternoon and goes until Tuesday evening.

Over the weekend, eight tornados were reported around Indiana. Data from The National Weather Service's storm prediction center indicated that all of the tornados were either weak or moderate strength tornados. No deaths were reported.

Officials are urging customers and residents to have emergency safety plans in place. Approximately 81,000 customers were affected by yesterday’s storms that produced high winds and lightning and more than 47,000 customers remain without power as of June 30.
