House Bill 1387, authored by Rep. Mark Messmer, R-Jasper, would allow wineries to sell 5,000 gallons of wine per year to retailers. Thursday's amendment restricts those sales to the county the winery is located in, or a contiguous county.

Synthetic drugs would become Schedule I controlled substances under a proposed Senate bill.

House Bill 1204, authored by Rep. Todd Huston, R-Fishers, would make it easier for school officials to obtain information on students with mental health issues. Previously, schools would have to go through a long process to gain access to students' medical records.

House Bill 1106, authored by Rep. Rebecca Kubacki, R-Syracuse, would make medications containing ephedrine and pseudoephedrine a schedule III drug, which means they couldn't be purchased without a doctor's visit and prescription.
