The City of Indianapolis mailed 546 letters to flood-damaged households warning they may need new permits to repair, sparking confusion that the city acknowledges could have been handled differently.

Indiana is holding disaster recovery centers in Marion, Porter and Wayne counties this week to help residents after the August floods and severe weather.
