Several victims of the Greenwood Park Mall mass shooting have filed a lawsuit in Marion Superior Court against Simon Property Group and Allied Universal Event Services.

Greenwood police responded to a call of shots fired outside of the Dicks Sporting Goods at Greenwood Park Mall, according to the police department’s Facebook page. Police have reported no injuries and the area is safe.

At a press conference Wednesday, members of the Greenwood Police Department and the FBI said they don't know why the gunman chose to carry out the incident, but they have learned more about his past and interests.

The Greenwood Police Department announced that the department and the FBI will discuss the July 17 shooting at a Wednesday morning news conference.

Agents were unable to recover data from the laptop found in the gunman’s oven, Herb Stapleton, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Indianapolis office, said during a media briefing.
