In addition to teaching students about agriculture, the program connected them with refugee and immigrant families through the Immigrant Welcome Center as they maintained the garden while students and teachers were gone for the summer.

The Immigrant Welcome Center in Indianapolis will host a naturalization clinic Saturday to help newcomers complete their application for US citizenship.

The plan details six key areas for successful integration -- employment and economic development, public safety, education, health and wellness,social services, and civic and community engagement.
