Indiana U.S. Rep. Jim Baird is expected to make a full recovery after his vehicle was struck in a car accident that hospitalized him.

U.S. Representative Jim Baird held his seat for the 4th Congressional District with more than 65% of the vote. The district includes much of rural northwest Indiana, including Lafayette and Crawfordsville.

Jim Baird is the Republican incumbent running for reelection in Indiana’s 4th Congressional District, which represents a large western area of the state including Martinsville, Crawfordsville and Lafayette. He faces Democrat Derrick Holder and Libertarian Ashley Groff.
