An event called PreEnactIndy happens this Saturday in Monon16, a neighborhood just north of downtown Indianapolis. It’s a festival combined with interactive theater, meant to foster conversations about community and culture.

WFYI’s Drew Daudelin sat down with Joanna Taft, executive director of the Harrison Center and producer for the event, to talk about its unique role in the fight against gentrification.

Drew Daudelin is the managing digital editor at WFYI. In his previous roles as a reporter and producer he covered poverty, politics and city government, produced award-winning feature stories for local and national markets, and led the statewide daily talk show All IN.
