Here are the Indy Parks pools opening Memorial Day Weekend

Indy Parks will open nine of its pools Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 27 through May 29. The pools will then close for additional lifeguard training and reopen for the official start of the summer season on Saturday, June 3. 

“I am grateful for our team and all of their efforts to hire and train new and returning staff as well as their commitment to get our pools ready for a safe and fun summer,” said Phyllis Boyd, director of Indy Parks. “We will continue to work towards getting the remaining pools up and running this summer for the community to enjoy.”

The Indy Parks pools opening Memorial Day weekend are:

  • Broad Ripple Park
  • Brookside Park
  • Frederick Douglass Park
  • Indy Island Aquatic Center
  • Rhodius  Park
  • Riverside Park  
  • Thatcher Parker. 

The Gustafson Park pool will open June 3.  

Starting June 3, the pools will be open Tuesday through Sunday with varying hours. 

The indoor pools at Indy Island Aquatic Center and Thatcher Park will operate during normal business hours the week of Memorial Day, but will switch to summer hours starting June 3.

Entrance fees range from $2 to $5 depending on age and location of the pool. Indy Parks Fun Cards can also be purchased for $40 per person for ages 3 and up. Fun Cards allow access to one pool per day for the season. Fun cards can be purchased at any open family center or pool, the customer service center in Riverside Park or online.

UPDATE: Garfield Park and Perry Park pools will not open as planned for Memorial Day due to maintenance issues.
