IndyGo Revisiting How It Provides Paratransit Bus Services To Those With Disabilities

IndyGo Revisiting How It Provides Paratransit Bus Services To Those With Disabilities

IndyGo wants public feedback on its Beyond ADA draft  policy.

Spokesperson Carrie Black said the policy addresses a new paratransit service in the zone outside of what is mandated by the American with Disabilities Act.

“We’re creating a premium service that allows us to meet the needs of our riders within the ADA mandated area but also still be able to provide a service to those outside the area as well,” Black said.

Riders can view the policy draft and make comments until Wednesday, Sept. 15.

“Look at this new draft policy, understand it, absorb it and let us know what you like about it and what you think could be tweaked and those are things we will consider as we put together this final proposal,” Black said.

Comments can be submitted online through a comment form, by visiting the Carson Transit Center or by calling IndyGo Customer Service at (317) 635-3344.
