GOSHEN, Ind. (AP) — A northern Indiana recreational vehicle manufacturer has broken ground on two new manufacturing plants that will create more than 250 jobs.

Keystone RV, a subsidiary of Thor Industries Inc., plans to spend $8.6 million on the plants in Goshen, 25 miles east of South Bend. The buildings are expected to be completed next spring.

Keystone RV Chief Executive Officer Matt Zimmerman says the new plants will help the company stay ahead of growing demand.

The Goshen City Council is considering annexing the land where the two buildings are being built.

With the addition of the two plants, total employment for Keystone RV in northern Indiana will reach about 4,800, a record high for the company.
