Williams was a dervish of comedy - tossing off one-liners, biting asides and sidesplitting routines in a blizzard of accents, attitudes and goodhearted energy. He died Monday at 63.

Busking Aims for Center Stage Downtown
For the next several weeks, street performers with all types of talents will show off their skills on Georgia Street, Monument Circle, and Mass Ave. Indy Fringe and the Arts Council of Indianapolis is putting on the Downtown Buskers Campaign to encourage this kind of street art.

Growing In A New Direction
Murders in Indianapolis are nearing record highs and last week, city officials released a pair of plans to curb crime, especially in the summer. Department of Public Safety says one concern is young people getting into trouble because they don't have anything else to do. But, as WFYI's Sam Klemet reports, just north of downtown, one woman has created a program that she believes can serve as a model for steering children in the right direction.
