Our city's oldest Catholic church has offered since 1871 a daily place for solitude and respite from the huste-and-bustle of nearby businesses, hotels and sporting events. Many times I have been within its proud walls and been blessed with inspiration and hope, whether in silence, during a Mass or while enjoying a music concert. | 3 people found this place inspiring. Beautiful! Many of Monet's paintings were inspired by his own garden, which includes the waterlily pond. It's just as beautiful today. | 138 people found this place inspiring. This place inspires me.

Few places in Indiana offer visitors the same type of respite from the outside world. Revered by Native Americans long ago, this oasis allows one to stroll its meticulously kept grounds to enjoy meditative walks on the labrynth, the Trail of Religions, the center grove, and to meditate in the "Garden of Prayer" (a European-style grotto that features statuary). The home of the Indiana Association of Spiritualists, Camp Chesterfield is an important part of Indiana's religious-historical landscape. It is also listed on the National List of Historic Places, boasting a 1940s style hotel that was the first fireproof building in the state of Indiana. A jewel in Indiana's spiritual crown, for sure. | 4 people found this place inspiring. This place inspires me.
