Amber Alert: Boy Found In Michigan, Sister Returns Home Safely

Two Indianapolis teens who were reported abducted from their home early yesterday morning are safe. 16-year-old Aaron Blackwell was freed in the Detroit area after a chase by authorities. Early this morning, police said that his 13-year-old sister, Emma Blackwell, had been returned home safely. An Amber Alert was issued yesterday for the teens. Detroit police say three suspects are in custody in connection with the incident.

Sixteen-year-old Aaron Blackwell, one of two children abducted in Indianapolis early Monday morning, has been found unharmed in Detroit.

The search for 13-year-old Emma Blackwell continues.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the report of two abducted children from 1215 Lasalle St., in Indianapolis.

The children are brother and sister and are both fair-skinned African Americans.  The brother’s name is Aaron Blackwell. He's 16 years old, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last known to be wearing a black bathrobe.  The sister’s name is Emma Blackwell. She is 13 years old, 5-foot-5, 150 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last known to be wearing pink and white pajamas.

The children were last seen at 3 a.m. when they were reported to have been forcibly abducted at gun-point by armed suspects from the Lasalle Street address in Indianapolis. They are believed to be in extreme danger. 

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say the children were likely abducted by an African American male who goes by the name of ‘Jay’ and is described as being 5-foot-11, 250 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.  No further information is available for the other suspects and there is no vehicle description.
