INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has built up $3.5 million in cash toward a possible re-election campaign in 2016.

The first-term Republican hasn't yet announced re-election plans. He has said he'll announce after the state legislative session ends in late April whether he'll enter the race for the GOP presidential nomination.

The Indianapolis Star reports Pence's campaign says it has raised $5.2 million over his first two years in office. State records show nearly $2.4 million has come from contributions of $10,000 or more.

The Times of Munster reports that in the last months of 2014, 34 major donors gave $687,000 to the governor's campaign. Those include $50,000 donations from Oklahoma coal company Alliance Holdings, Florida venture capitalists Lawrence DeGeorge and Suzanne Niedland, and Fuzzy's Vodka co-owner Stuart Reed of Indianapolis.
