County Line Road Loop Ramps To I-65 Close Monday

GREENWOOD — Loop ramps from County Line Road to Interstate 65 will close June 1.

The closures come as construction continues the nearly $36 million project to add lanes and reconstruct I-65 pavement between Southport Road in Marion County and Main Street at Greenwood in Johnson County.

Indiana Department of Transportation officials say turn signals will be in place to permit County Line Road traffic to make left turns onto existing northbound and southbound ramps to I-65 via temporary connecting lanes.  This traffic pattern will remain in effect until October.

On Monday, June 8, INDOT will close the southbound ramp from Southport Road to I-65 for up to nine days.  This will allow Milestone, INDOT’s prime contractor, to alter the ramp for connection to newly placed pavement.

Crews continue to place asphalt pavement behind concrete barrier walls for new northbound and southbound lanes.
