Funeral For Teen Pilot Set For Thursday

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (AP) — Funeral services have been scheduled for a central Indiana teenager teen who died when the plane he was piloting crashed over the Pacific Ocean off the coast of American Samoa.

WISH-TV reports services for 17-year-old Haris Suleman of Plainfield have been set for Thursday at the Islamic Center of North America, also in Plainfield.

WISH says a memorial and arrival are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by prayers. Burial services will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.

The boy's body was found shortly after his plane crashed Tuesday after leaving Pago Pago. U.S. Coast Guard officials said Sunday they were suspending the search for his father and co-pilot, 58-year-old Babar Suleman.

Haris Suleman was due to enter his senior year at Plainfield High School.
