IU Launches Shuttle Bus Between Bloomington, Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana University has launched a shuttle bus service that ferries students, faculty and staff between its Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses.

IU transportation liaison Kent McDaniel says Campus Commute runs between the two cities Monday through Friday and makes no stops during the 60-mile trek.

The intercampus shuttles depart from two sites at the IU Memorial Union in Bloomington and drop passengers off at the IUPUI Campus Center and the nearby Indiana Statehouse.

The shuttle offers Wi-Fi, wheelchair accessibility, reclining seats, electrical outlets, DirecTV, a lavatory and a real-time bus tracking interactive map.

Ticket prices start as low as $7 for a one-way non-reserved seat. The general public can also use the shuttle service.
