The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields announced plans Wednesday to present the largest exhibit in its history.

THE LUME is an interactive, digital experience created by Australian-based Grande Experiences. At nearly 30,000 square feet, it will take up the museum's entire fourth floor. The installation will be a multi sensory exploration of art with life size digital images and music. It will use almost 150 state-of-the-art high definition projectors to transform two-dimensional paintings into a three-dimensional world.

The exhibit is scheduled to open in June 2021. The first show will feature the work of Vincent Van Gogh.
