W. Indiana Man Leads Boycott Of Gun-Banning Stores

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Western Indiana gun enthusiasts are boycotting businesses that don't allow firearms inside.

Steve Ellis, owner of Top Guns gun store in Terre Haute, launched the "No Guns = No Money" Facebook support page on Aug. 22. By Monday, it had about 1,100 "likes."

Ellis says he wants gun enthusiasts to band together and deny business to retailers and others who won't allow them to carry their guns inside.

Not everyone agrees with Ellis. Shopper Angel Owen told WTHI-TV that people should be allowed to carry guns but they don't need to carry them inside businesses. She says she feels safer entering a store with a "No Guns Allowed" sign.

Indiana has no law barring people from carrying firearms into businesses but proprietors can ask them to leave.
