Medical providers across the country are raising concerns about the possible effects of an Alabama Supreme Court ruling related to in vitro fertilization, or IVF. A grassroots organization in Indiana has joined a multi-state effort calling for stronger protections and safeguards for IVF.

Abortion rights supporters gathered Sunday in Indianapolis to voice their opposition to a near-total abortion ban that goes back into effect in Indiana on Tuesday.

The organization has seen a 40 percent increase in vasectomies performed at clinics in states where the services were already offered.

The first new abortion ban passed by a state legislature since the overturning of Roe v. Wade this summer is set to take effect Thursday in Indiana.

Hundreds of medical professionals and protesters gathered at the IUPUI campus Wednesday to show their support for abortion rights. Doctors who marched said they want to protect their ability to provide evidence-based medicine.

"My body, my choice" was the cry of many Saturday as hundreds rallied in downtown Indianapolis for reproductive rights.

Indiana does not include contraception as part of it's sexual education but does require schools to teach abstinence.

The new group of nonprofit and grassroots organizations says they don't want lawmakers regulating women's health rights.
